Its Holi, Festival of colours in India, so we thought we would blog a little about this. It is said that on Holi, people come together to celebrate by throwing colour, playing with family and friends, and of course spreading good cheer all around.

Holi, like many festivals around the world at this time of year, is a celebration of the onset of spring. This is where it runs parallels with Easter which also signifies the onset of Spring. Blossom on trees, hatching chicks and Easter bunnies all signify the abundance of life around us.

We have decided to hold our first sale this summer. We design and make our products using lots of colour and traditional techniques and we are always inspired by festivals, carnivals and occasions where people come together to celebrate or to have a good time. The mood of a summer festival, garden party, alfresco meal with the long light evenings is always magical.

Well, we have had a busy summer!
I am delighted to be announcing the re- launch of Jasmine White London. First of all introducing a new handpainted, colourful enamelware range for the home. A soft launch at the Wimbledon Village Fair in the summer where mugs, jugs and trays flew off the stall proved its popularity! I then took it to the trade at Top Drawer London a couple of weeks ago where the collection received a lot of positive response from retailers and independent shops. I have included some of my own floral design patterns onto the enamelware, the posy and the small flowers but also incorporating the traditional ‘floral splash’ so familiar to the Kashmir region where they are hand painted.
